Default 83 300SD 192,000 miles

Hello,.

I'm having (No) heat issues. The car gets up to tempurature, all of the coolant hoses are extremely hot, including the hose that passes through the firewall. When I push the heat buttons, nothing happens. No fan, no heat. Occasionally the fan will kick on and when it does all I get is luke warm air coming from the vents. Is the heating core clogged? Something else? Thanks for any help.

I only know enough to know it could be an Electrical and/or Vacuum issue.

Does your AC work? Heat and AC are tied together. You can push the 2nd and 4th buttons in at the same time to remove the AC compressor from the circuit and see if it works then. Otherwise it could be a temp sensor or a vacuum issue.

There is a valve on the firewall that needs to be replaces. Sounds like it is stuck closed; therefore, not allowing heated coolant into the heater core.
