I've been looking around this forum on/off for some time now. There is a lot of good info on pre-00 diesels. I've always been a proponent for diesel after having driven them overseas giving mpg's in +36mpg. I presently own a 2000 BMW 528i and do most of the maintenance work myself things that I can handle like plugs/brakes/cooling system/abs stuff/alternator/oil change. Anything that involves hoisting the car to get under it goes to my mechanic.

So does anyone have any experience with the repairs that they had to do on a 2005 E320 CDI? What are the typical things that could go wrong on this model car?

I'm thinking of getting a 2005 E320CDI which is presently retailing @ $21K with 62Kmi. Is this price right? the What attracts me to this car is diesel primarily and the other luxury features are real plus.
