Default Sub Wiring 230k

Hello, been reading for awhile but first post. I'm looking to add a subwoofer in an 05 230k sedan, w/ harmon kardon. If anyone has a wiring diagram, i'm looking for how to tap into the sub leads, and where to tap the remote lead. Anyone have any ideas?

ok I am confused, any help on where those wires would be located, ie back deck, I did take all the trim out of the trunk and then had no clue to where I was going to find it. Also, is there a good place for a remote lead back there?

they sell a converter for 12 bucks that allows you to easily connect sub-out into your stock radio system. I heard it can be done without it as well......all i know about that method is that the remote lead is connected to an ignition switch ( I highly recommend not to mess with that method, it all sounded like jibberish to me) just buy the converter

There are all sorts of Line output converters on the market that will allow you to run your stock headunit along with a sub and amp. If you are not planning on running a separate amp for the sub, then forget about the bass. You NEED a dedicated amp for the subwoofer. The stock Harmon Kardon amp won't power it well.

Look into running a Scosche LOC for about 20 bucks, then buy some rca's for your aftermarket amp. If you are planning on adding more as the days go by, you might want to look into running either the JL Audio CleanSweep processor or Rockford Fosgates 3Sixty.2 that you can tune with your PDA. Both offer a clean signal coming from the stock headunit, with multiple RCA outputs for multiple amps to power anything from aftermarket speakers, subwoofers. The RF 3Sixty also give you a 31band 1/3 octave eq for tuning on the tweeter, midrange, and midbass along with 17 bands for the sub.

Prices range in the JL linup from $299-599 and the 3Sixty.2 is about $399.

Joe: Is it safe to assume the 3sixty.2 will work to install an amp and sub for the stock BOSE system in the '04's...? I'd like to upgrade the bass in my '04 CLK 500 and am looking at a device called Audiolink to resolve the speaker issues...
