Default 97E320 Radio Help

Hey guys, I just bought my first Benz yesterday, like the title says, '97 E320. There are two things that I need to get fixed. The blower motor regulator(which I read up about on here) and the cd changer to the factory deck has a short behind the deck I believe. Only the right side plays music unless I hit a big enough bump or turn real hard to the right. So I am wanting to pull the deck out and check the connection but I do not know where to start on this. Ive searched on here but couldn't find anything really. Eventually I will be putting in after market speakers, amps, deck, and subs but until then, Id like the changer to work because I don't have tapes and I am not much of a fan of the radio. Can anyone help me out here?

Chances are that there is not a short in the wiring. There were many problems with the radios and cd changers. This was before the d2b fiber-optic system. I recommend an aftermarket unit. Easy to install and plenty of harness adapters available.
