Every 10,000 miles or so, you should change the cabin air filters in your Mercedes-Benz. You should change it sooner if you live in a dusty climate or do a lot of driving on non paved roads. The cabin air filters helps protect the air that you breathe inside the car, replacement is a snap and should take less than an hour even if you change all three filters.

If you have Automatic Climate Control in your car, there are three filters you will need to change.

If you do not have option code 581, then you will only have to change the filter in the engine compartment.
