Default '87 190d oil pressure problem..maybe!

I'm about to buy an'87 190d turbo and I'm not sure if I should be worried about the oil pressure.

While I have my foot on the gas the oil pressure indicator is at 3, but when I take my foot off the gas to roll to a stop it drops between 1 and 2.

This is the part of the panel display that has a picture of an oil can with the numbers 1, 2 and 3 that the arm can point to.

Please, I need to know if I should be worried about this. Does it being a turbo have anything to do with this?
Oh, and my buddy has an '87 190d also, although, its not a turbo. When he turns his car on the indicator goes to 3 and will stay there until he turns of his car.

thanks,
ghiafreek
