Hi all, just picked up my first Mercedes, 1996 C Class Elegance. Everything looks good to me, apart from Climate Control LCD display. Is this display backlit by regular bulbs ? If so, any ideas how to change them or check the fuse. If not, have I gotta buy a new CC module for a coupla hundred quid ?

I presume this unit lights up !!

I have a 99 C280. I took out the Climate control unit, as it uses the same keys as the radion. It is one piece, the LCD is liquid crystal display, that is the light, there are no bulbs. There could be a couple of things wrong. exactly what type of display are you getting when you turn on the system?
