Here's a little video clip of Lugnut getting ready for his first recital: Canon in D

Way cool. I pictured Lugnut a little older.

Damn! That was great!

Yeah, I wish that were me. Only two problems:
[ul][*] I wish I were that young again. I have a couple of years on that youngster;[*] I wish I could play my guitar like that. I use mine as a door stop.

I hope that kid does more than just give bedroom concerts. I heard a kid about his age in a music store the other day. He was trying out a new amp and played just as good. People who came in the store would just stand there with their mouths open listening to him. He doesn't do any performing either, he said. Weird.

My dad was a jazz guitarist -- a good one, so I was exposed to the kind of journeymen musicians that most folks never hear of. It's a strange business in that talent is just small component of whether or not these guys ever achieve real financial success. That kid has enormous talent, especially considering how young he is. I bet someone who can make a difference sees that video and gives him a push in the right direction, at least I hope so.

Glad you guys enjoyed it -- I played it half a dozen times today.
