winter tyres and wheels
Hello members
I need advice from other members. I have CLK 240 which has 225/45-17 tyres on front and 245/40-17 on the rear axle. I wish to put on winter tyres for the oncoming winters and on contacting few tyre dealers have found two options.
to put 225/45 - 17 tyres on all four corners
or
downgrade to 205/55-16 which ofcourse is cheaper cost than the former. I wonder what are other peoples experience and how safe it is to downgrade to 16inch.
