My superb Elegance (98k miles) gave off a metalic noice and suddenly stopped, none of the automatic gears would engage, engine & electric all fine. Now low-loaded to Mercedes in Liverpool (excellant service by the way), anyone got ideas as to the problem/solution/cost to put our beast back on the road
