hi all, newby to this,looking for info on changing rims .Standard were 225/55/R16/ 7.5 j 42 et ,wish to put on 17 rims keep getting contradition on whether to put 235/45/R17 tyres on manual says 245/45/R17 and do I have to modify the standard spring buffer on front axle

got bigger problems since I put on thread .WARNING to all E klass owners seemingly the TIMING BELT is prone to self distruct , left my car into mercedes for yearly service and 50 miles later after picking up my car the timing belt slipped luckily it didnt come off completely so its in sick bay waiting to see how much this will cost . Why Mercedes are letting this problem continue is beyond me . You think you are buying a prestige vehicle , think again ......
