I'm in Louisville, KY, and I just bought my first diesel Mercedes some months ago, 91 350SD turbo. I had it for a few months, had the greasecar kit bought from greasecar.com installed, and absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, it was parked out front of my apartment, there was a wreck at the intersection, and my car was casualty #3 of 4. Absolutely totalled. So, insurance came through and i bought a '93 300SD turbo. After some consideration, I sold the junked car with the grease kit, and I intend on installing a homemade kit in the near future. My mechanic has built a few kits that travelled to the Rockies, all over the west, and back with no real issues. Plus I have an older friend that is making his own biodiesel in his backyard, so I figure I'll deal with that for the time being.
I am absolutely new to diesels, so I have a bit of a learning curve ahead of me. So far the two cars I've had have been impressive rides. If anyone knows of any quirks or secrets about this car that I should know about, please let me know. thanks.
