Hi - just joined the forum - registration was very quick & easy.
Just found & considering a Mercedes Diesel 170D - of 1947 -50 era. At least that's what I think it is. How can I be sure ? What are the points to look for to make a positive I/D ? I have a poor photo of it partially front on in low light - would this help a lot to I/D it ? I'll have to check how to do that.
And if it really IS a 170D - what are the good/bad points to look out for ? And what sort of price do these go for in top condition and poor condition - in Europe say - I'm in Chiangmai Thailand.
Is this the right place to ask these questions ? If not, where to go ?
