hey everyone, doing a restoration on a 87 560 sl, got the car for my 50th year since birth, going over every nut and bolt replacing and rebuilding everything that needs attention, right now I have the entire front suspension out including all the steering likage, while I have clear access I want to replace the starter, it is the original and now is a great time. I have the electrical connections and the bottom allen bolt removed but the top bolt is ridiculous, does anyone have a simple solution? I am guessing that I should drop the exhaust which I was planning on doing anyway to give me a bit more room but even then it isn’t going to be easy. Any help is appreciated!n I have the MB 107 manual on CD but can't seem to find a section on the starter.
