New member with 1973 450SL questions
Hi all,
Just got my first Mercedes, an all original 1973 450SL with 73K miles. My grandfather bought it in 73 and has had it ever since. He handed it over to me recently and put a couple grand into new brake lines, shocks, etc.
It turns over nicely and I have been driving it around a little. Neat car! Now I'm trying to learn as much as I can and figured this would be the place. I will post specific questions in the proper areas on the forum but was wondering if anyone has good suggestions on obtaining OEM replacement parts.
I just put new tires on and was told I need to replace upper and lower control arm bushings. These are expensive
! I want to purchase myself and have the local guy throw them on. Any sugeestions on model diagrams, install instructons, general info about this year/model would be greatly appreciated!
