MB GL 420 cdi or GL 500 ???

MB GL 420 cdi or GL 500 ???
Hi
I´m going to buy MB GL. Still don´t know if I should buy GL 420 cdi or GL 500. I tested 420 cdi and the engine felt enough strong and fast. I prefer sport ride so I would like to buy GL 500, because it has better acceleration 0 - 100 km/h in according of technical specification. ( GL420 cdi 7,6 sek and GL 500 6,5 sec) the problem is, that my dealer doesn´t have GL 500 for test drive. I heard, that GL 500 has better acceleration 0-100 km/h but worse for acceleration during the ride, means let´s say 100-140 km/h. Is it true ?
