Has anyone ever heard of this? I am trying to purchase a certified 2004 ML 500 from Knauz MB. They said they would need to remove the MB certification in order to get me financed and once I bought the vehicle before leaving the lot I could get it recertified and BUY an extended warranty? Is the extended warranty the same or as good as the certified?

Has anyone ever heard of such a thing? It's a great price, but I'm nervous of the repurcussions.
