Hello
Hello Everyone,
I wanted to go ahead and introduce myself, My friends call me Cris, I am 24 years old, and just purchased a 2007 CLS 550. I believe im the fifth owner, and currently has around 68000 miles. I purchased it from a used car dealership, and after a 1000 miles or so, the only issue I have encountered is a faulty window regulator on the front passenger side door... I want to maintain the vehicle in pristine condition while using it as my daily driver (15-20 miles a day). I have never owned a Mercedes before, but I do consider myself a skilled mechanic. I have done engine swaps, 4x4 conversions, heads, cams, etc.. so I am hoping I can take care a lot of the maintenance myself, if not I don't mind taking it to the dealer either.
Let me know if there is anything I should read up on or common issues I might not be weary of.. I appreciate everything ,and its a pleasure to meet everyone!

Hello and welcome to the forum Cris - I would suggest doing a google search for the CLS platform, from what I've read, they tend to show some issues when getting up there in miles. I would also suggest picking up a Mercedes specific scan tool, like this one, so that you you're able to scan, address, and clear any fault codes that you may encounter in the future. Please let us know if you have any questions or if we can assist with any future part needs.

We've heard good things about the Schwaben tool - make sure to check out the PDF, also in the link, to make sure that it checks all the systems you'd like.
