I am looking to purchase a pre owned 2001 ML 320 has anyone heard any bad things about the car?

This car has a lot of trouble recently. Mostly are bad wired electrical system. If you are looking for this model year, better do a detail research and get all report for the car (www.carfax.com) you look for and final thing if you want to purchase is always buy an extended warranty. It may cost few thousand dollars but worth for long run. I just have my 2000 E320 service. My Catalytic converter went bad just after a month of purchase but fortunaltely, my car is still under Mercedes warranty so it is free of charge. If I don;t have insurance, I will be ended up to pay more than $1,000.00. Be aware and do more research if you purchase a MB model within the year where it has more trouble and recall history. Please wiew one member in this forum provided us a site where you can see all car's models recall report. Good luck to your ML 320 purchase. Be patient and be aware for searching.

most are just minor things such as belt buckles, power window switch, AAM control module, and fuel pump/filter.

 

if you really want a piece of mind when purchacing a used benz then go to dealer and buy the starmark used vehicle you can buy up to
4 years orm 100,000 mile warranty --that is from the factory ---all major items- and it is a no hassel warranty--no deductibles- factory trained tecnicains and honored at all dealers across the us--- the 2001 model wasn't that bad--- maybe differentials seals- window switchs etc. but nothing major
