Default 2001 ML 320 Navigation sytem

Hi All,
I have a 2001 ML320. I have the navigation screen and a 6 disc CD changer. Some have told me that I can just buy a navigation CD-rom for my area and will get navigation when the disc is placed in the CD. Yet others tell me No. When I hit the Navigation button on the screen it says no navigation installed? Any feed back?

The screen is all you have, you don't have the GPS unit.

Do you have factory fitted MCS, or factory fitted comand in dash?

Either way, you have to try and find a navigation disc for the unit you currently have in dash. As far as I know, once the nav.disc is inserted, the unit will navigate.

greetingz,

You will have to buy and install the GPS Unit in your ML, and then buy the CD's.
The Navi GPS Unit is around a few thousand dollar, and the Map CD. It all depends on where you lives. There is only one CD for the entire Canada, and I think there is around 7~10 CDs to cover the entire US. Each CD cost around 270 CDN. They ain't that cheap at all.

Once you got the GPS Unit install in your MCS, if you have the Navi CD in your MCS unit. It will have an icon say Navi on your MCS screen. Then all you need is press the Navi button on your MCS, and then follow the instruction on the screen. The system comes pretty useful if you do a lot of traveling.

PS: I got the 2000 ML-320
