I was told that I need a new ECU for my 1998 e320. Cost is 1300.00 and I would like to know if I can try using an obd 11 scan tool to clear the bad codes. Can I also clear the srs and abs codes? If I buy a used ecu can I install it myself and reset the ecu to match my vin. I bought this car after a crash but the air bags did not deploy so now after doing the repairs to the body it will not even crank.
