Hello all! 1998 E320 with the normal door lock configuration. First the rear pass door lock. It always made a slight hiss when opening and closing that would go on for about 10 seconds after the locks were operated. One day it stopped working. I took it to my idie mechanic and he said that it wasn't a vacuum line issue, the actuator was malfunctioning. $200 plus labor to fix it. I decided to pass for the time being. It's inconvenient but I can live with it. Any input?

The second issue is now with my driver's side rear lock. It pops up quick enough, just like the fronts but it doesn't go down when the temperature is less than 50 degrees. It's the strangest thing. It moves like it wants to go down, but it won't. I have to reach in and push it down from the front door. Any ideas as to why it will go up easy enough but won't come down unless it's warm?

I'd hate to spend money on this only to learn that it could be a vacuum issue. Any and all comments are welcome. Thanks!!
