new member from OZ here , only a few minutes infact, would really appreciate your knowledge on this matter.

the 1997 c200 classic has done 166,000 kms (5 speed auto)
the 1994 c280 elegance only 108,000kms (4 speed auto)

to cut to the chase i guess i'd like to know:
- considering the c200 is 5 speed vs the 4 speed c280...... is the difference in performance really that noticeable?
- is the savings in fuel economy worth the reduction in performance?
- is there a big difference in service/maintenance costs?
