Wind noise
Opinions from others please.
Well,
I've sorted out my cruise control problem, just remember if a tyre place tries to fob you off with 205/50 tyres, insist on 205/55 or else!
Now, the wind noise at the rear top edge of the windows is a bit annoying, does it do it on all of them. I've adjusted the doors in as they were not quite flush, and I do notice that the tope rear edge of the side windows doesn't line up with the rear quarter windows. Should it?
Should I adjust the window channel in the door to pull the top edge in to stop the noise?
Thoughts please...

RE: Wind noise
You can adj windows. Also the rubber trim gets worn away, cant do much, either live with it (me) or get new.
Tyre size should be within 3%.
I always use this calculator for comparisom between sizes etc etc.

RE: Wind noise
By adjust the windows, I take it you mean get into the door and adjust the angle of the rear window channel inside? A Tech at my dealer told me how to do this, but I do need to know if the result is likely to be less noise or no noise, if you get what I mean?
Bit of a perfectionist, unfortunately, and I wouldn't want to keep taking the trim off and on if the end result isn't likely to be a victory!
Also on a side note, how long do shocks last for on SLKs? anyone had one let go under 40,000miles? My left rear end seems to react to man hole covers and the like far more than the rest of the car.....

RE: Wind noise
I'll pop into our company MT section and send it up for a look see when I get back from our Chrsitmas holiday this weekend.
Thanks.
I'll have to save playing with the window channels till we get a dry day....sometime in May judging by the weather here.
