Default Two Problems

Hello
I am new here. I recently acquired a 99 SLK230. I absolutely love the car and Love all Mercedes.
Now here are my two problems.
1. I noticed that the Roof is leaking mostly on the passenger side, and at times on the Driver's side. slow but significant.
2. I have read in the past about the Special MB Car seat which turns the Airbag off in case a Child is sitting in the front. While it is not the brightest idea, I some times need to take one of my kids with me (4 and 6 years old) to school or just for fun, and boy they love "Dady's new Hot Wheel." Any way. I went to MB and asked for the seat, and they said the MB has STOPPED selling them, because there were problems with their design/function/whatever.
I asked (as one of the moderators adviced me) for them to turn the Airbags off on the passenger side, and they refused. Statin there are legal and liability concens and they could not do it.
So now I am F***ing stuck. I can't buy a Child Seat (which they said could cost 800 dollars and it is not available), and I can't turn the Airbag off. What's up with that...
Of course may be kids should not be riding a car like this, and we have a Family van, but at times, you need to do that.
Anyone with experience in this, or any advice highly appreciated.
Thanks

Leaking from the front right (and left) of the place where the roof meets/joins with the front windsheild. It seems that the seal is not good, or cracked. I have not idea what is going on.

Thats NOT a place Ive ever seen one leak or heard from others.
Give the seal a good clean with warm soapy water and the mating face too. Check for tears etc.
Also ensure the roof is pulling fully home on its 2 pins.
