I have a 1998 slk230 which I have had numerous problems from a fuse box located to the left of brake cyl./ booster between brake master cyl. and drivers fender, In drivers compartment.. It is a left hand drive U.S.A. vehicle.. The M.B. part number on control unit is A 170 545 01 05..
There is also a relay there which I did not get into the picture very well.... The relay M.B. part number is 002 542 2119.. Or another number on it is by Siemens which is V1234-M52-y303..
This is NOT the famous K40 relay issue... The yellow butt connector in pic has since been soldered and heat tubed...
Something in this area is causing this vehicle lots of problems including "no start","hard start" & other problems.
I have been over every inch of this box and componets..
Please take a look at these picturres and see if they are familiar to you, or if you know what they are? What they do? Have any experience with them??
