1998 slk
I'm just about to purchase my first beautiful 230 SLK and was wondering what kind of gas mielage I should get in my situation: I live in a very rural area out west. When you leave my driveway your immediately on a two lane state highway, so you put the pedal to the metal almost right away. No stop signs, no stop lights till the small city we all travel too which is 45 minutes away. What should I get for the most part? Also, I've heard different stories about the rating of gas I should put in thie vehicle. Does it matter?

the poster asked if it mattered. I thought he was talking about mileage, not whether you use premium, which I agree is a must. sorry, i miss read the question.

I miss read your question. I thought you were talking about whether mileage mattered. sorry. Yes Bulldog is right you must use premium. but still, have a blast they are wonderful cars.
