I just got a quote of $4900 for XPEL paint protection film installation in San Antonio for a 2009 SL65 which is for complete coverage including front/rear bumpers complete hood, rear trunk, body panels/fenders, doors, and painted surfaces of roof using premium XPEL. Can others offer input if this is reasonable. Some of the coverage (portions of car in front of mirrors) is with precut XPEL, while I think the rest is custom.

 

Why don't you do it yourself if you think you need it. Griotsgarage.com sells the plastic product, but also sells fantastic protectant products you use on your entire car. Also found Expel for sale on the web. I've had my 500SL for 5 years. More damage is done by idiots in parking lots than road debris and bugs. I use Griots Paint Sealant.
