Default ethanol

i see the government is going to allow-promote-mandate ?? increases in ethanol to 15%.. does anyone have information or experience as to how this might affect our machines...
i have had considerable experience in the rubber and plastics industry and know that alcohol blends are hell on hoses and seals... we need to be well educated on this one before the surprises start..
comments???

Ethanol has contributed to a hard warm start in my 1991 300SL, and I have tried several fuel conditioners with success, including Seafoam and a new Ethanol conditioner just introduced by Lucas. My mechanic has also recommended that I drop to a lower octane, such as 91 or even 89. As far as I can tell, the present 10 percent mix if Ethanol has not affected my lines or seals, but I share your concerns about a higher percentage.
