Default Weathered and/or Damaged Wheels

Hello Everyone
I recently purchased a 2000 SL500. She has 18" 5 spoke AMG's. Really nice looking wheels, however they had been cleaned with something that left them somewhat dull and over time some clear coat was rubbing off almost looked like peeling. The two front wheels had curbingdamage on the edge of rim where tire seals.Anyway I was determined to either replace or repair & refinish these wheels. Replacement cost was around $2 grand. Recently attended a automotive trade show in Valley Forge PA and met a guy from "Wheel Collision" out of Allentown PA that repairs rims. The cost was $125 per rim plus shipping which is another $300. Then upon researching I found a local "Syracuse" company "RimDoc" which is a franchise with several locations throughout the East Coast that provides a similar service. They charged me $115 per wheel and no shipping or dismounting. As a matter of fact they do house calls. My rims are in BRAND NEW CONDITION! Well worth the 5 hundred inc. tax for new rims on my benz. I highlyendorse their service. Check out their work at www.rimdoc.com

Thanks for the tip Dave. I've got some rim issues on my 92 500SL. They arn't bad but I would like them to look new. The brake dust appears to have pitted the finish.
