Hello. Need a trashed 1.796L Mercedes M-271 long block with dress. Its sleeves and block could have a rod thru or two. Its external dimensions, its shape and form, the production bumps and valleys, the overall outlines or silhouettes in different planes are of interest.

These may be C 230, C 200 CGI, CLK 230 or CLK 200 Kompressor, C 180, maybe C 220 or SLK 230? I am confused about which engines use the basic 1796cc block ("crankcase").

Any suggestion for leads? So far, salvage yards want to sell their used running engines, and when possible, scrap engines at dealers are discarded as short blocks and I think the heads, etc., are swapped over to the customer's new short block. No actual M-271 full engine assembly is left over. Thanks for any recommendations or suggestions. Dave
