Never have owned a Mercedes before. Have the oppoetunity to buy a 74 450 SL with 91,000 miles. Other than interior seats appears to be solid. No rust and chrome good. Meticulous paperwork on all work done. noticed valves have been adjusted a couple of times throughout life. What shoulkd I be concerned about with this motor. I hear timing chain failures could wipe out valves...Is that a typical issue with these motors? Oil has been changed every 3-4000 miles from what I can tell.

Any thoughts on this would be helpful. Thanks
