My sl500 was shipped a few days ago thru ebay. The glovebox is closed and i cant get it open, i tried the valet key but it is still closed, i dont want to hurt the car by prying it open, is there an alternative way to open it. -thank you

The glovebox is stuck due to an improperly adjusted release cable for its latch. If you email me, I can send you instructions to fix it, though they aren't very clear.

 

I took it to the dealer and they said i needed a whole new lock. It was around $225 with labor and parts
