R129 Antenna Issue Help Please
Our beautiful 2001 1 owner 47k R129 was delivered on Thrs. Since no tags yet, checked out everything I could do in the driveway. Power antenna worked perfectly, no funny noises etc. Got tags on Friday and went on maiden voyage. Drives like a dream. Turned on radio, no antenna response. Made sure phone button was in off indication. I hear a slight click not coming from antenna area, may be a relay?
Here is what my 12v tester shows at the 4 terminal connector at top of antenna casing. Alligator clip on ground, ignition key on accessory....4 connector still connected: Radio turned off, power only on red terminal. Radio turned on, now power on red and blue connector, but no activity. Antenna fuse tests fine and shows power moving from left terminal to right terminal in slot #5 with fuse installed.
Tried pulling antenna up while radio on, hard spring load and would only move less than 1/8" up.
Perhaps I inadvertently touched a button incorrectly?
Any advice or tips at this point would be greatly appreciated. Kind of put a damper on the new purchase.
