I am thinking of buying a 2003 sl with 89000 miles.with everything I have read on this forum they have nothing but expensive problems so unless I can buy a warranty I might take a pass and but a Lexus sc.i am really afraid of buying this car but I have had a few sl before and really love the new style.should I just forget this car if I can't get a warranty,how much would a warranty cost approximately.i am really rethinking buying this car because of everything I have read on the forums.thanks jimbo

 

drive them both to see why you might rather have a sl. however, a sl is not a practical car, they are a wonderful car but CAN be expensive to maintain. might spend a little more and find a 04 or 05 with less mileage. www.cars.com

Can I get the service records from any Mercedes dealer with the vin number
After reading all the forums and reviews the last 3 weeks I wonder why anyone wants one of the newer models.i have had 3 or 4 sl but none of the newer models 2003 up
Does everyone have these abc problems,I heard it costs 5000 for front shocks
Everyone have electrical problems,I want to buy this car but am getting 2 nod thoughts after reading all thes posts
How realibility are these cars,this will not be my daily driver but I would use for pleasure cruising. Talk me into buying this 2003 that I love.
