I have a 1994 600SL and have3 been battling the wiring issue for years. Now today the suspension went crazy and jacked the front of the car up in the air and wont release. Is this related to the wiring or just another issue that surfaced

 

Sounds like the issue is with the Adaptive Damping System (ADS).

 

I got lucky, got the vehicle up and found the actuating rod on the self leveling valve had come off. One of the bushings crumbled, unfortunately the bushings are not replaceable and I need to order a new rod. Still the cheapest fix I've ever had on this car.
