Hi,Ive jist purchased a 240D (1977 123 series)with 240K original kms. It has a tow bar onthe back and has the ride leveling suspension. It sits fairly low at the back when not running, but pumps itsself up once started. The suspension also clunks when going over large bumps,but doesnt seem to bounce up and down . Is this a characteristic of this type of suspension or is the car trying to tell me something. cheers liliesstevens

 

I have a new to me 300td that also has some hydro-pnuematic suspension issues. Are there any good sources on line as to what to look for in terms of maintenance and where to get replacement/rebuilt parts cheaply.\?
