1987 300sdl old leak near engine mount
Need some idea on where is the oil leak. My 87 300sdl is leaking engine oil near the engine mount just beneath the fuel injector pump. It is in a very small area where the fuel and engine oil goes into the injector pump. I cannot figure out where it is coming from. It seems to go through a small heat exchanger, as per the MBZ service manual, but I do not want to dismantle anything unless I know what I am taking apart. It is a 603 in-line 6 engine.
Thanks

RE: 1987 300sdl old leak near engine mount
Further info on the engine oil leak. I think it is leaking from the injector pump and engine block gasket. It spills on the the engine mount.
1) How easy is to remove the injector pump and replace the seal?
2) If I do not move anything, do I need to reset the timing and the likes afterwards?
3) The oil leak is annoying but is not fatal. If it is easy then I would change it, if not then I will just put a rag below the injector pump?
Thanks
