I have a 86 560SL and can't get the cable to release the back of top by trunk. Its the little lever that doesn't work. I had trouble before but can't remember how I got in to replace the small cable. Thanks for any help.

 

Finally found a fix at Mercedes Dealer. Unlatch rear pin, reach in with small allen wrench and pull latch away from pin. top will unlatch. Found cable had come loose. Just tigthen up cable and works great Local dealer was very helpful. Just keep allen wrench in glove box in case you have a problem again.
