I just purchased a 1971 350SL. It kind of found me, so I don’t know a lot about the car. I have a few questions:

The car has 125K on it; it is straight, runs well and is very nice

1) Of course I would like to know what it is worth. How can I make a reasonable estimate of value? I would like a ball park idea.
2) The seats are shot; I would like to find a company that sells a replacement seat kit. I can redo these with a kit.
3) The brake light is on. The reservoir is full. I assume there are a number of common problems to check on before replacing anything. What are these things? The peddle is a little mushy but it seems OK. (Master cylinder?)
4) Also, what are the common rust spots in this car? I see a couple of small spots, but I don’t know exactly where to look.
5) The headrests are falling apart. Is there a way to buy new or rework these? The pins are falling out of these.
