2010 E350 - Some general questions.
Folks,
I just purchased a 2010 E350. There are some things that I haven't been able to figure out yet.
Q1. How to set trip settings?
In most cars I have driven, there are trip settings so that you can keep track of miles on each trip. At least two trip settings (Trip A and Trip B) are quite common.
I see "trip" in my dashboard when I use the arrow keys from the steering wheel. However, I cannot figure out how to use it. Would appreciate your help.
Q2. How to turn off music?
Once you select some XM channel under Audio, there is no simple way to turn off music. There is a power button but that turns everything off, including the navigation. Very painful.
The only workaround I have found is to go to Video category and come back to Navigation. Going to video category turns off any music that you play.
Am I missing something simple?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Regards,
Peter

When you select the Mute button while the music is on, it mutes the music. When you select and hold the Mute button when the navigation voice is active, it will mute the navagation.
It can be difficult to catch the navagation voice while activated, but select RPT [Repeat], then hold the Mute button.
I know the instructions can be difficult to understand and or find, but the anwers are there.
