I own a body shop and recently bought a pristine 1997 sl 500. It was hit relatively hard to the right rear. The roll bar had been deployed and the roll bar switch flashes and top switch stay lit. I had a German car shop clear the codes and get the roll bar down. The top began to work but would not unlatch from the windshield header. The roll bar switch continued to flash though. After the rear body had been stretched back the top unlatched and the repair was made using a new quarter and rear body panel. Now when you hit the switch everything operates but out of synch! The top goes down instead of up and so forth. Is there any thing I can do myself? Thanks for your help. It is greatly appreciated.
