Default 99 E320 Moonroof "gremlins"

I have had a wierd problem with my 99 E320 that has confounded me and frustrated me since the car was new.

It seems that each time when the car is supposed to be telling me it is due for service in some number of miles, it instead shows ESP, ABS and BAS lights for a while then the messages go away. I'm guessing at this trigger event because it seems to happen at roughly 10,000 mile intervals. A bit later, I suspect at the next message change interval when it tells me service is due now (guessing from the mileage interval) the moonroof goes all silly on me. It will open only, but not close. I can of course get it tight enough to survive even a power wash because the cycle of open tilt to open slide cyclses first through the closed position. You have to time it just right for a snug seal.

I have had the dealer check this no less than 6 times and no problems reported.

To be truthful, I have learned to live with this little eccentricity, but since I have recently found this forum I am curious if others have experienced something similar?

Thanks in advance,
Ron
