Has anyone experienced this? I was driving home with the a/c on and it started to get warmer. I noticed the EC light was on, which I did not push, which is for economy and turns the a/c compressor off. I pushed it, but to no avail, it remained on. What would cause it to come on automatically while driving??? Of course now I have no cold air because I can't get the compressor to engage. Any suggestions??? Thanks a million for any replies.

Thank You!! any information will be greatfully apreciated. I had it checked and the compressor is frozen. Apparently the last time it was evacuated and charged there wasn't enough oil added and it seized. I was told that in order to reset the light and have the system work properly it needs to be evacuated again. My e-mail is secondharley@bellsouth.net
