Default Brakes and rotors

I searched the forum and found very little regarding replacement of the brakes and rotors on my 92 500sl. I'll need brakes soon and was thinking of upgrading to drilled and slotted discs and ceramic brakes. Will they work as well? Is it worth the extra cost?????? Anybody have any recommendations.....ceramic vs simi-metalic pads; slotted/drilled vs OEM disc!!! I'm restoring this vehicle and really need some advice from you guys with experience. I don't want to screw this up!

Try TireRack.com I boughtdrilled brembo rotors with EBC green pads for my car and LOVE them for everyday driving. My stopping distanceswent from good to eye ball moving! For track days (If you are so inclined), I'd suggest the EBC red pads they work realy well for me as well.

Thanks for the reply BNX SL LVR. Are those GREEN pads ceramic or semi-metallic?
