I'm pretty sure this "SL Class" is not the right place for my '75 450SL, just wasn't sure which forum was appropriate (please move as needed).

I am trying to bring back this old car to life and seeing a fair amount of ..."scary" underneath it; rust and maybe some rot. I have no intention of making this a show car but would love it to be a safe driver. Much of what the eyes can see looks quite good. Anyhow, I"m curious how challenging it is to repair some of the unibody underneath; see pics. I've had some good success with products like POR15 and thinking that could be a good option here.
