Hi Curtdog23!! I have a '94 S500 and when I read your post I went out and checked my sunroof. How yours came off the track is beyond me, but here's a suggestion. With the sunroof fully open, you should notice 2 notches, one on each side of the track, about half way back. If you can align the wheels of the sunroof with those notches, you may be able to reset the roof's wheels back into the track. Like I said, that's only a suggestion, but I hope it helps. Just curious, how did the roof slip the track? Did one of the wheels break off?

it looks as though there was a black bar on the right side of the track that came loose. It is very hard to open the sunroof without assistance. I will check this afternoon about the notches. Thanks. Also what do you know about the combo switch is it easy to replace my high beams stopped working and I was told I needed to replace this switch.....

As for the combo switch, I would first check the fuses under the hood. There is one there for the highbeams and one for the lowbeams. Plus, if memory serves, there are also fuses for the right headlights and another for the left headlights. Since I am unfamiliar with replacing that switch, that's really all I can suggest. Sorry I can't help you any further than that. I wish I could.
As for the sunroof, that black bar that came loose may just be the track that it rides on. Just be careful trying to force open the sunroof because you may just cause more damage. Also, did you keep those tracks lubricated? I use that white lithium grease in a spray can when it starts to drag. Let us know how you fair with the roof and the headlights!!
