Im looking/ thinking of buying my boss's s-class. its a 1993 300sd. apparently its got the crappy diesel that no one likes but its made it past 100,000 so ive heard its probably good. Anyways it needs a few things has some blemishes in the paint therefore nesecitating a respray at some point.

On to the question, how many s-classes are heavily modified, im talkin lowered with custom exterior touches maybe color matched bbs lm wheels, and a little extra power via some heavy turbo work???

I have heard from a couple guys that if the engine made it past 80,000 miles it was probably good, if it didnt use oil like you said. It doesnt, also runs great has plenty of power. The only thing about it that bothers me is it idles kinda loud, i thought it was just because its a diesel though please correct me if if im wrong though, but when it gets just above idle it smooths out entirely.
