My 2001 S500 has been sitting, garaged for about a week and a half. i got in the car today and some smoke came out of the exhaust, which figured would be normal considering its been sitting for a while. then i started to here this ticking sound coming from under the hood. not sure what it is, fuel injectors? valves? regardless the sound gets louder as i press on the accelerator. any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks.

it could be a noise from the camshaft rocker arm.

sometimes the oil inside the faulty hydraulic valve would leak, and takes a little time to fill especially when the engine is cold.

it should be okay after 1 minuter of engine running..if not, then have it replaced.
