Question Ticking Sound

Hi Everyone!
I just purchased a used 2003 Mercedes Benz C230 with 125,000 miles and 6 gear shift, sedan. I live in Dallas, TX area, so our weather here is crazy!
I have change the oil with Mobil 1 synthetic, however, lately my car has been making a ticking noise only when the motor gets hot, Not when I first start the car. So, when I crank it up in the morning it is not there, but when I have driven for 15 miles or more, it starts ticking under the hood. It drives wonderful, but that ticking is annoying. What should I do?

Thanks again!
Nora

Thanks, however, I had my mechanic look into it and he said that it could be a lifter because when the oil is cold it is thick and when it heats up, it is thinner. And the reason for that being is because where I took my vehicle to have the oil changed, they didnt use the correct weight recommended for my MB. It should have been Mobil 1 0-40 and not 5w40. But he said that it will be fine, just to use the correct one next time and it will stop ticking.
